![]() ![]() Gleaming metal in the harsh light made even more intense as rotary cannons spewed their beams of death. Swinging his rifle up, he saw the enemy down his sights. As the dull roar exploded around him as they laid into the reinforced crenelations of the firing line as lasers and solid rounds flew from across no man’s land. It was safer to look up when the firing started again. Slamming another magazine into his rifle, the soldier stepped up to take the fallen boys place.Įxperience had long ago taught him that when the machines stopped firing, it was to make people look over the trench. ![]() A medic ran over, looked at the body, and took off for the closest soldier who they could still save, this one only missing his arm and parts of his torso. ![]() He could still see the smoke rising from the boy’s rune that burned on his chest. He looked to his right just as the recruit fell back from the firing step missing half his face and all his soul. First time sharing this with a large group. ![]()
